The Merge Apps feature allows you to combine multiple apps into a single unified mobile app. This functionality enables app users to select the app they wish to use upon launch, making it perfect for managing apps based on locations, regions, or functionalities. Follow this guide to configure and customize the Merge Apps feature.
Step 1: Access the Merge Apps Feature
Navigate to the Merge Apps section.
The Merge Apps feature simplifies managing multiple apps by enabling a unified user experience across different locations or functionalities.
Step 2: Add Apps to Your Unified App
Start with clicking on the +Merge apps button.
Assign each child app to a specific location.
Repeat this process to add multiple apps to your merged app.
Assigning apps to locations or categories helps users navigate seamlessly within the merged app.
Step 3: Choose a Template for App Selection
Select a template to determine how the child apps will be displayed within the merged app.
Preview the template in the Simulator to ensure it aligns with your app’s branding and user experience.
Step 4: Configure the App Selection Screen
Customize the app selection screen for your merged app by adjusting the following settings:
Title: Give your app selection screen a title that will appear at the top of the screen. Example: "Select Your App" or "Choose a Location."
Show on First Launch: Toggle this option to display the app selection screen only the first time the app is launched.
Show on Every Launch: Enable this option if you want users to see the app selection screen every time they open the app.
Show Locations: Enable to display app-specific locations on the selection screen.
Show distance: Enable to display the distance between your app user and the location of the merged app.
App Icon: Toggle this option to show or hide app icons on the selection screen.
Show App Name: Choose whether to display the names of the child apps alongside their icons.
Show Website Link: Add a website link for each child app, providing additional information or resources.
Show Country Flag: Toggle to display the country flag of the app's location.
Show Country Name: Enable this option to show the country name associated with each child app.
Customizing the selection screen allows you to provide a clear and user-friendly interface for app selection.
Step 5: Save and Finalize
Once you’re satisfied with your configurations, click Save to apply your changes.
Test the merged app on your device to ensure it functions as expected.
Testing your merged app before launching ensures a smooth user experience and prevents navigation issues.
