# Web-view for Custom app

### How to use web-views in the custom app?

AppMySite enables you to render your mobile site in an app with a web view interface. A webview interface is built to render your mobile site in the app.

{% embed url="<https://scribehow.com/shared/Web-view_for_Custom_app__FdIEup6RSUmcgRPlQgT2ag>" %}

You can enable web-views on the following assets of your app:

* [**Bottom bar**](https://app.appmysite.com/app/bottom-bar) - Add web view to any button of your bottom bar. Select web-view in the Item Type and add the desired URL in the relevant field while setting up your bottom bar.
* [**Menu**](https://app.appmysite.com/app/menu) - Similar to the bottom bar settings, you can add web views to your hamburger menu. Select web-view in the item type and enter the URL in the relevant field.\
 You can customize further by choosing whether you’d like to display the app header, website header, and website footer. Furthermore, you can hide certain webpage elements by entering their HTML class or HTML ID in the Web view settings.
* [**Pages**](https://app.appmysite.com/app/pages) **&** [**Post**](https://app.appmysite.com/app/posts) - Insert engaging buttons to direct users and encourage interaction. Buttons can be hyperlinked to an external web page or any post, page email or phone number. Design the button by selecting the button colour and text colour.

[**Follow this guide**](/app/web-view/advanced-web-view-settings.md) to customise how your web pages will appear in the app:

{% content-ref url="/pages/sgZw0r2MP57mpnx7mrqD" %}
[Advanced web-view settings](/app/web-view/advanced-web-view-settings.md)
{% endcontent-ref %}

You can open the Preview section to see how your app looks and works on an emulator.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.appmysite.com/app/web-view/web-view-for-custom-app.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
