# Deactivate 2FA

### How to disable two-factor authentication (2FA)

You can disable two-factor authentication (2FA) if you no longer want to use an authenticator app for your AppMySite account. Once disabled, you will only need your email and password to log in.

#### **Step 1: Navigate to Security**

* Log in to your AppMySite account.
* Click on the user [**profile**](https://app.appmysite.com/profile) from the top menu.
* From the side menu, select Security.

#### Step 2: Enable Two factor authentication

* Scroll down until you find Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
* Click Disable.

#### Step 3: Confirm your action

* Enter the 6-digit authentication code generated by your authenticator app.
* Click Next to confirm.
* 2FA will now be disabled on your account.
