# Secure account

### How can I secure my AppMySite account?

To ensure the security of your account, follow these steps:

#### Create a strong password

Generate a complex password that includes a mix of upper and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols.

Avoid using easily guessable information, such as birthdays or common words.

#### Enable Two-Factor Authentication (TFA)

* Navigate to your profile settings.
* Access the "Security" section.
* Enable TFA by following the provided instructions.
* Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the generated code to complete the setup.

#### Regularly update password

Change your password periodically to minimize the risk of unauthorized access.

#### Monitor login activity

Check your login history regularly to ensure there are no unfamiliar sessions.

#### Keep recovery information updated

Provide an up-to-date email address for account recovery.

Store recovery codes securely in case you need them.

By combining a strong password with Two-Factor Authentication, you significantly enhance the security of your account and protect it from potential threats.
